Shawn & Sheila Anderson

Owners and operators, have been married for over 30 years. While Shawn helps whenever he can, Sheila is the driving force behind True West Trail Rides and its parent company Kettle Range Outfitting & Guiding, LLC. She has been involved in the horse industry for over 40 years as a riding instructor, horse trainer, and now as a backcountry outfitter and trail guide.  The couples passion for sharing their love of horses and the great outdoors, particularly the Inland Northwest and the Kettle Range, shines through as soon as you meet them.  They are true believers in the life-changing power that nature and being in the outdoors can have on a person's life.  The couple strive to bring an authentic western horseback experience to each and every trail ride they take their guests on.

Rose Schertenleib

Rose, the youngest daughter of Shawn and Sheila, brings a lifetime of horseback experience to her position as trail guide. A 4-H club member for over 10 years, a former 2 time Rodeo Queen she serves as wrangler for the family business. Rose loves sharing her love of the Great American West and the outdoors with everyone she meets.  She, like the rest of the Anderson family, believes in the power of nature and horses to positively impact a person's life.  She has a special place in her heart for young riders and looks forward to every smile she sees when they delight in the horses while on a trail ride. Joining her in greeting guests this season are daughter Lily and son Woods.

Abigail Belliveau

Abigail recently moved with her family back to Eastern Washington and is excited to join us in 2021 as our business continues to grow. Our oldest daughter, we put her on her "Tiny Sunshine" pony as soon as she could hold the saddle horn and away she went! An avid outdoors person, canoeing expert, hunter, hiker and lover of all things flora and fauna - Abigail opens our eyes on the trails to beautiful things we might miss.
